DRUG CARTELS FLOURISH IN US NATIONAL PARKS.

In the Sequoia National Park in California illegal immigrants part of a drug cartel from Mexico have been hopping the border into the protected forest to grow and harvest marijuana. Over the past eight days operation LOCCUST (Location Organized Cannabis Cultivators Using Saturation Tactics) has eradicated 420,000 plants worth more than $1 billion on the streets. On the mountainside alone in the park there were roughly 10,000 marijuana plants. The illegal immigrants were living in the park, setting up tents and staying long enough to set up their sophisticated irrigation systems and grow plants as tall as 5 feet. All the people connected with the drug cartel are family and closely trusted family friends. This is awful considering they are coming into our protected park and growing marijuana which funds the dangerous drug traffickers who will kill anyone getting in the way of their money. Not only are these drugs reaching children and infiltrating our national parks but also the illegal immigrants have been killing protected animals at their campsites. However there have been 36 felony charges and authorities have confiscated 27 farms. In all reality I think more should be done about this, we need to protect our land, our animal, and our children.

its crazy they can get away with that, well i guess they didnt get away with it, but for as long as they did, its intense.
