Actually doing something for our planet

It’s hard to do sometimes. Sure, you feel good when you pop that water bottle in a passing recycle bin.
But what about the real stuff.
I have decided, leading up to Earth Day 2008, I am going to do one good thing per day towards a better environment.
Today, I was replacing our fridge with another one we got for free. The backing had come off, and the fan in the bottom was completely filled with dust and hair.
I cleaned the fan well and then insulated the back with a combination of duct tape, tin foil and cardboard.
A fridge is a huge drain on electricity, and especially if it has a bad fan and the cooling chamber (or whatever) is not insulated.
